We’re looking for a young professional skilled in writing and editing for the web to join our team for a summer internship. Responsibilities:

  • ·         Uploading new content to various websites
  • ·         SEO keyword management
  • ·         Copywriting
  • ·         Copy editing
  • ·         In-depth research
  • ·         Use of Content Management Systems to update websites

Qualifications:

  • ·         Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • ·         Proficient on Macintosh operating system  
  • ·         Strong grammar, punctuation and creative writing skills
  • ·         Great communication skills, both verbal and written
  • ·         Marketing/Communications/Business/English majors preferred

Message: The Urban Adamah Fellowship Now Accepting 2015 Applications Connect to Something Bigger: Earth, Community, Social Justice, Jewish Spirituality

The Urban Adamah Fellowship, based in Berkeley, CA, is a three-month residential training program for young adults (ages 21–31) that combines urban organic farming, social justice training and progressive Jewish learning and living within the setting of an intentional community.

Through the operation of Urban Adamah’s one-acre organic farm and internships with social justice organizations, fellows gain significant skills, training and experience in all aspects of sustainable urban agriculture, community building, leadership development and urban food access. The Fellowship’s experiential curriculum is designed to equip fellows with the tools to become agents of positive change in their own lives and in their communities.

Now in its third year, the Fellowship has graduated over 100 young adults who have gone on to work in the fields of environmental education and policy, sustainable agriculture, community organizing, Jewish education and social entrepreneurship.

Upcoming Fellowships Summer: June 7 – August 21, 2015 Fall: September 1 – November 20, 2015

The cost of the Fellowship is offered on a sliding scale from $1,300 to $1,850. Program fees are highly subsidized and include room, board and all other program expenses. We accept 12­–14 fellows per season. Admission is on a rolling basis, and we encourage applicants to apply as soon as they’ve made the decision to enroll in a particular season.

Subscribe to the Internship Online Series

The Internship Series Online is a success with over 300 colleges, universities, and law schools currently subscribing. Subscribers receive four hard copy versions of our publications plus unlimited internet access to all thirteen of our undergraduate publications (a total of over 3,000 organizations offering internships to students) for $330 per year, or $245 per year for online-access only.  Also, starting with the 2013-14 subscriptions, we have started offering all the books on printable disk.  The cost is $305, and you are able to print out ALL the books in your subscription, or multiple copies of the same book if need be.
